Viva Osceola Celebrates Hispanic Heritage and the Osceola Community

VIVA Osceola, the largest Hispanic festival in Central Florida, is going strong after 32 years! On October 5, The Osceola Chamber celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with the annual music and business festival at Kissimmee Lakefront Park. With over three decades of history, Viva Osceola in the area's oldest event recognizing Hispanic heritage, arts, and culture, as well as Osceola’s business community.

One of the biggest highlights of the festival each year is always the entertainment.  Before the event had even officially kicked off at one with the National Anthem sung by a local student, spectators were camped out to make sure they had an ideal spot for the day’s entertainment.  Attendees enjoyed sets from local artists like Mexico Lindo Ballet and local dance studies, as well as international sensations like Venezuela's Luifer Cachazo and the evening's headliner Oro Solido. The full day's proceedings were emceed by Osceola County School Board Member Bethzaida Garcia for the third year. She even briefly took the mic!

Special features of this year's event included a NeoCity STEM City full of activities for kids of all ages, the KUA Kids' Power Zone, cars to explore from Jarrett-Gordon Ford, free cookies from the FTC Food Truck, and more. We were also thrilled to welcome Representative Paula Stark and Kissimmee Mayor Jackie Espinosa for guest appearances!

We thank sponsors Orlando Health, Kissimmee Utility Authority, Experience Kissimmee, Florida Technical College, Toho Water Authority, and the City of Kissimmee for supporting this event and championing our community!
