June Non-Profit Spotlight: Sunshine Foundation

Sunshine Foundation is the original wish-granting organization founded in 1976. They believe in bringing unimaginable joy to children living with serious medical conditions. Sunshine Foundation’s sole purpose is to answer the dreams of chronically ill, physically challenged, and abused children ages three to eighteen whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to the financial strain that the child’s illness may cause. The Sunshine Foundation serves the children with life-long, chronic conditions from income-limited families that are turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis.

The Sunshine Foundation has helped to create laughter, smiles, and a lifetime of memories for more than 40,000 children nationwide. Over 80% of all donations are allocated to their children’s programs, earning them the distinction of being a Top-Rated wish-granting charity in the United States from www.charitywatch.org.
