Business Under the Stars 2024 at Kissimmee Lakefront Park!

On Wednesday, April 24 our Coalitions hosted the annual Business Under the Stars.  41 business vendors lined Ruby Plaza at Kissimmee Lakefront Park.  Five food & beverage vendors, plus hundreds of hungry attendees, gathered under the Heron Pavilion to snack on empanadas, pastries, sliders, pork schnitzel, and much more while networking with fellow members of the Osceola business community.  Big John’s Rockin’ BBQ designed a sparkly blue “Starry Night” drink for the night, and a percentage of proceeds from those drink sales will go toward the event’s goal to raise money for scholarships.  Atmospheric music from Arts Unlimited completed the perfect atmosphere for this popular event.

Our sponsors for the evening were Kissimmee Utility Authority and Minuteman Press.  Food was provided by Krush Brau Park, Susana’s Cafe, Florida Technical College, Mr. Cappuccino, and Big John’s Rockin’ BBQ.  Coalitions Council Chairman Martin Levert, President of Florida Technical College, took the mic to give away some fun raffle prizes and make announcements throughout the evening.  The Coalitions were represented in their own alcove with information on the seven Coalitions and their upcoming meetings and events.  The Black Business Coalition was boasting an upcoming meeting with presentations from Orlando Health on how businesses can contract with them and non-profits can be in consideration for their grant programs.  The Hispanic Business Coalition will hold a roundtable discussion with Congressman Darren Soto on May 29 on immigration impacts on business.  The Young Professionals will host Osceola Magic President Hans Steinbrenner for an inspirational chat at their meeting on May 31 at 1881 Restaurant & Bar.

Other fun touches for the evening included appearances by Osceola Magic mascot Swish, KUA’s suncatcher truck, and live entertainment.
